The Lovamahapaya, also known as the Brazen Palace, was a magnificent nine-story structure built by King Dutugemunu. It once served as a residence for thousands of Buddhist monks. The building was constructed using thousands of stone pillars, with a bronze roof, giving it the name "Brazen Palace." Though only the stone pillars remain today, Lovamahapaya stands as a remarkable example of the architectural brilliance of ancient Sri Lanka.
